Officers respond to 1500 block of NW 20th Avenue

OCALA, Fla. – A woman was shot and killed Saturday night in Ocala, according to the police department.

Officers responded around 10:38 p.m. to the 1500 block of NW 20th Avenue, where Faye Porter, 31, was found dead, the Ocala Police Department said on social media.

Investigators believe there is no danger to the community, the post stated.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to contact police at 352-369-7000 or Crime Stoppers of Marion County online, at 352-368-7867 or **TIPS to remain anonymous.

Tips to Crime Stoppers that lead to an arrest in this case may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000, police said.
