POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held a news conference Friday morning to discuss the arrests of three people accused of operating a “mobile marijuana dispensary.”
Daniel McCreary, 37; Jimmy Andrial, 40; and Bianca Andrial, 35, were arrested Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
As deputies responded to the parking lot of a shopping center off Highway 192 in the Clermont area — where a concerned citizen had allegedly reported that marijuana was being sold from out of a bus — Jimmy Andrial and his wife Bianca reportedly said that they were re-packaging and selling marijuana that they had obtained, with Jimmy’s medical card, from a licensed supplier.
While Jimmy Andrial did possess the medical marijuana card for personal use, messaging on the inside of the bus reportedly said, “NO MEDICAL CARD? NO PROBLEM! USE OURS! FOR $5,” with the sheriff’s office’s news release otherwise stating that the use of another individual’s medical card to purchase marijuana is illegal in Florida.
The trio allegedly refused to tell investigators where they purchased the marijuana, as well as the packaging materials, aspects of the case which the sheriff’s office said it’s still investigating.
McCreary faces charges of resisting arrest, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, keeping a vehicle for drug sales and possession of cocaine, the sheriff’s office said in the news release.
Jimmy Andrial faces charges of possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, solicitation to purchase marijuana, keeping a vehicle for drug sales and threatening a public servant, the release states.
Bianca Andrial faces charges of possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, keeping a vehicle for drug sales and solicitation to purchase marijuana, the sheriff’s office said.
The bus itself, pictured at the top of this story, was on display outside the Sheriff’s Operation Center along Jim Keene Boulevard while the news conference took place.
