Some fans who don’t know the team personally said it’s nice for them to get the national attention.

“I get emotional watching them. It’s like I know them, even though I don’t. I see them play baseball every weekend, and it’s like watching my own kids on TV,” said Kelly Vinson.

Lake Mary won its second game of the World Series on Friday night 6-1 against Puyallup, Washington.

People are expected to return to Friendly Confines on Monday at 7 p.m. for the next game against Hawaii.
