Lake County deputies search for persons of interest in kidnapping

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two persons of interest in the kidnapping of a woman that happened last week.

The sheriff’s office said the incident happened around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, in the Okahumpka area.

According to officials, the woman fought off the men and was found near “a rural area on the property where she was staying.”

No other information, including the woman’s condition, has been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Z. Williams (2707) at 352-343-9500 or Crimeline to remain anonymous. There is a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
