ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Legislature declared Aug. 30 as Jimmy Buffet Day in Florida, and Margaritaville Resort Orlando is celebrating the life and music of the entertainer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
Hosted in the hotel’s grand lobby, the event will feature live music, family activities, raffles, and giveaways including a two-night resort stay.

The first 500 registered guests who check in can enjoy a Jimmy Buffet-approved spread — free margaritas and mini cheeseburgers. Not too particular, not too precise.
Exclusive Jimmy Buffett Day merchandise and commemorative Jimmy Buffett cups will also be available for purchase. All of the merchandise sales will go directly to Singing for Change, a nonprofit organization created by Jimmy Buffett in 1995 that supports other small nonprofits that help individuals become more self-sufficient and create positive change in their communities.
In addition, all of the proceeds from the day of service will be donated to Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee, a charitable nonprofit organization in Kissimmee dedicated to providing cost-free vacations to children dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
Fittingly, the event kicks off at 5 o’clock Friday evening, not somewhere else. For more information on Margaritaville Orlando’s Jimmy Buffet Day, click here.
All Margaritaville properties will celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day throughout the Labor Day weekend with events, programs, and more in support of Singing for Change, created by Jimmy Buffett, and other charitable organizations.
