Student arrested after making bomb threat to Clermont school, police say

CLERMONT, Fla. – A student was arrested Monday in Clermont after making a school bomb threat via text, according to the police department.

The Clermont Police Department said the student made the threat against Real Life Christian Academy.

The child was taken into custody and faces a charge of written or electronic threats to kill.

“As a reminder, the Clermont Police Department takes a zero tolerance stand when it comes to threats such as these, whether they were initially intended as a prank or deemed to be credible or not,” the department said on social media.

Students from Pre-K through 12th grade attend the private school.
