MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Following Hurricane Helene, Marion County Utilities issued precautionary boil water notices on Friday, Sept. 27, due to power outages in the area.
Come Sunday, Sept. 29, the county issued an update stating the notices have since been rescinded for residents in the following communities:

- McAtter Acres
- Stone Oaks MHP
- Libra Oaks
- Ponderosa
- Golden Holiday MHP
According to Sunday’s update, the notices were rescinded following the satisfactory completion of bacteriological surveying, which reportedly showed the water was safe to drink.
Marion County Utilities recommended that customers contact their customer service team at 352-307-6000 during regular business hours to verify the accuracy of their account number.
