59th Space Coast Art Festival to bring dozens of artists to Viera

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Art lovers can find new artists to enjoy at the 59th Annual Space Coast Art Festival in Viera at The Avenue this month.

The two-day event starts on Saturday, Oct. 12, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. and continues Sunday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

The event is free for all, and guests can enjoy art created by dozens of artists from all over Florida, working in a wide variety of media, from photography to glass to leather and wood.

There will also be local food vendors, in addition to the dining offerings at The Avenue, a student art show and more.

The festival began in 1963 as the Cocoa Beach Sidewalk Art Show and officially became the Space Coast Art Festival in 1972. The festival brings in thousands of people every year, seeking to foster the arts community in Brevard County.
