Marion County man wins $1M prize in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A Marion County man won $1 million in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game, according to a news release.

Lottery officials said Tuesday that 64-year-old Hubert Wilkerson, of Summerfield, chose the one-time, lump sum payment of $640,000.

According to the release, Wilkerson purchased the winning ticket from the Publix at 8780 South East 165th Mulberry Lane in The Villages. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Lottery officials said that the $50 Scratch-Off game, 500X THE CASH, features over 10 million winning tickets, with a top prize of $25 million.
