SANFORD, Fla. – Seminole County residents needing one-on-one help following Hurricane Milton have another option to turn to.
Seminole County residents can now register for disaster recovery assistance at a newly opened FEMA pop-up registration site at the Westside Community Center in Sanford.

The site will be open Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents can apply for individual FEMA assistance or get help with making minor updates to their applications.

Following the effects of Hurricane Milton, FEMA declared Seminole County a designated disaster area.
Applications can also be done online at www.disasterassistance.gov or through the FEMA app.
FEMA’s hotline is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week and can be reached at 1-800-621-3362.
To apply for help you will need:
- Your Social Security Number
- Your address at the time of the disaster and the address where you are currently living
- A contact phone number
- A list of damages and losses
- If insured, the policy number and the name of the agent or company
- If you want the money directly deposited, bank information will be needed
