ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 19-year-old man was fatally shot early Wednesday in South Apopka, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to a shooting reported from the corner of West Celeste Street and South Washington Avenue, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement reads. In an update later Wednesday, the sheriff’s office identified him as Deqwan Markell Chester.
An investigation is said to be ongoing and no further details were available at the time of this report.
