Halloween love: Couples say ‘I do’ to their boo in Osceola County

‘HalloWedding Scar-A-Mony’ held at historic Osceola County Courthouse

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – There are goblins and witches, then there’s Mr. and Mrs.

There were 11 couples who said their vows Thursday morning. The “HalloWedding Scar-A-Mony” was held at the historic Osceola County Courthouse.

There was eerie music playing, families gathered in anticipation, as 10 couples made the ultimate commitment and one couple renewed their vows after 25 years married.

Clerk of Court Kelvin Soto presided and said it’s the best time to provide their community with “something different.”

“Marriage is already scary, doing it on Halloween? Oh boy!” Soto said.

Soto and emphasized that the couples were to love and cherish each other “until death.”

One couple, the newlyweds Ricky and Deanna Brincefield, says their relationship has always been spooky and unique, so their wedding landed on a perfect day.

“It’s the best day of the year, and to get married! We think at least,” Ricky said.

This is the third year the clerk’s office has performed the Halloween group weddings.
