Trooper Steve visits Seminole County Central Transfer Station ahead of National Recycling Day

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Today, we’re taking a break from our usual traffic safety coverage to visit the Seminole County Central Transfer Station, a vital part of our community’s waste management and recycling efforts.

This visit was timed perfectly because tomorrow marks National Recycling Day, a day dedicated to promoting sustainable practices that benefit our environment.

The Seminole County Central Transfer Station plays an essential role in managing the waste generated by our community. But beyond the simple handling of trash, this facility works to process recyclable materials effectively, reducing waste that ends up in landfills.

During our visit, we got an inside look at how recycling is conducted, from sorting to processing, and learned more about the impact these efforts have on the local environment.
