Osceola County man wins $1M prize playing Florida Lottery scratch-off game

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – An Osceola County man won a $1 million prize from a scratch-off game, according to Florida Lottery.

Andres Hoyos, 40, of Kissimmee, opted to receive his winnings on Wednesday as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000, a Florida Lottery news release states.

Hoyos bought the winning “GOLD RUSH LIMITED” ticket from the Key Food Supermarket located at 2340 Fortune Road in Kissimmee, according to the release.

The store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, the release states.

“GOLD RUSH LIMITED” is a $20 game that launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million, 100 prizes of $1 million and more than 33,000 prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, Florida Lottery said, adding the game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65.
