Orlando Health doctor raises awareness about diabetes prevention

Dr. Chirag Panchal discusses prevention and treatment options on Breakfast With Bridgett

ORLANDO, Fla. – News 6 is “Getting Results For Your Health” on “Breakfast With Bridgett.”

On Thursday, A doctor from Orlando Health will join us to discuss the warning signs, treatment, and even some foods that can reduce the risk of diabetes.

According to Dr. Chirag Panchal, millions of Americans are undiagnosed living with type 2 diabetes.

“Type 2 diabetes is largely a lifestyle condition, meaning that maybe you’re consuming a little more carbohydrates and sugars and not doing enough physical activity,” said Dr. Panchal. “You don’t have to go and be an Olympic athlete, but I always say 20 minutes a day, every day, you should be doing something to be intentionally active.”
