‘This decision wasn’t easy:’ Orlando German restaurant bids adieu to downtown

ORLANDO, Fla.Schmankerl Stub’n, a German restaurant in downtown Orlando, announced on social media that they will be closing their doors.

The restaurant, located at 131 North Orange Ave, said their last day open will be on New Year’s Eve.

“This decision wasn’t easy, but with the current landscape downtown and the most recent events, we believe it’s in our best interest to move forward. We’re excited to share that we’re working on relocating to a new spot in 2025, where we’ll continue to bring you the same great food, drinks, and atmosphere you love,” their announcement read in part.

The restaurant opened in the summer of 2023 in the space that used to house Neon Beach.

The restaurant will remain open during normal business hours until New Year’s Eve, according to their post.
