BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX has scrubbed the launch attempt of its Falcon 9 rocket from Florida’s Space Coast on Friday night, according to the Brevard EOC.
According to the company, the launch will send the RRT-1 mission into orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral.
The target launch time was originally scheduled for 8:05 p.m. on Friday, but after the target time passed without a launch, SpaceX announced that it would “continue to keep a close eye on the weather” as it tried to pin down a new target launch time.
“A new target launch date will be shared once available,” the company’s website reads.
This is expected to be the fourth flight for the first-stage booster being used in this launch, which was previously used to launch Crew-9 and two Starlink missions.
The 45th Weather Squadron forecast a 20% chance of weather interfering with Friday’s launch attempt, and that risk was set to rise to 40% for Saturday.
Regardless, News 6 will stream the launch live at the top of this story when it happens.
