LUNENBURG COUNTY, Va. – A father of five died last week after he was struck by a bear that fell from a tree in Virginia, WTVR.com reported.
According to the report, wildlife officials said a group of hunters chased the bear into a tree and as the group retreated, one of the hunters shot the bear.

The animal fell and landed on a 58-year-old Virginia man, who was about 10 feet away from the tree, officials said.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he died several days later, according to authorities.
The victim is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren.
No charges are being sought in the case.
