CHRISTMAS, Fla. – For one Central Florida post office, it is the busiest time of year.
People are making the trip out to Christmas, Florida to get some special postage for their cards and packages.
It’s no surprise people were there on Wednesday – it was the last day for Christmas delivery for USPS Ground Advantage Services.

Thomas David was mailing out cards on Wednesday. Even though it’s not necessarily close to his house, it was still worth it to him to get the special postage from the town of Christmas.
“About 10, 12 miles down here,” David said. “But it’s worth it. It gives it a little extra fun for the holiday season.”
He said he goes to the Christmas post office for a particular reason.
“It’s the actual stamp, the cancellation that really is kind of cool for that so that’s the important part for me,” David said.
For Catherine and Ella Berry, coming to the Christmas post office is, well, a Christmas tradition.
“We stumbled upon this about 15 years ago taking our kids to Fort Christmas Park, and i just thought how cool of a tradition,” Elizabeth Berry said. “So for the last 15 years, I address them, I stamp them, and I come here, I always tell people, check where it’s postmarked because they get their Christmas, Florida cards every year.”
Ella said her mom always looks forward to their trip to the post office.
“She always gets so excited,” Ella Berry said. “She was looking forward to it all morning she was like ‘We’re going to Christmas!’”
If you weren’t able to make it to the Christmas Post Office on Wednesday, you still have the opportunity to get your package or cards postmarked from Christmas.
