SANFORD, Fla. – A 22-year-old man faces more charges related to prowling incidents in the city, the Sanford Police Department announced on Wednesday evening.
Earlier, police officials announced they were investigating a number of incidents of a suspicious person possibly looking into resident’s windows and exposing themselves on the east side of the city.
“Last night we did confirm two reports of what would be considered a Peeping Tom, prowler activity that we took, offense reports that are actively being worked on by our investigations,” said Bianca Gillett, strategic communications manager with Sanford police.
Sanford police said that they arrested Angel Joseph Davis, 22, for indecent exposure of sexual organs.
According to a news release, officers responded Tuesday to reports of a prowler who was observed looking into a home while exposing himself in the area of 20th Street and Mellonville Avenue.
Gillet said that reports came from the Mellonville area, 20th Street, Park Street and 17th Street. Officials said that Tuesday’s incident may be linked to prior reports of prowling, which did not involve the exposure of a sexual organ.

Officials said Davis was arrested without incident after their investigation identified him as the suspect in one or more of the incidents.
“We are relieved to announce this arrest,” said Sanford Deputy Chief Trekelle Perkins. “We want our community to feel safe in their homes as we prepare for holiday celebrations. Thank you to our citizens that had surveillance cameras, and quickly came forward to help us identify, and remove this predator from our community.”
