Hosted by District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose, District 6 City Commissioner Barkari F. Burns and Orange County Commissioner Mike Scott, the event was made possible through partnerships with the Athlete Connections Foundation and several local organizations.

Over 2,000 children were served, distributing hundreds of bikes and thousands of toys, making this holiday season a memorable one for many families in the area.

“Just seeing the smiling volunteers and community partners coming together and people just being so giving to share this love during the holiday season is the best part,” Burns said.

For the families, this celebration was more than just an opportunity to receive gifts; it was a powerful reminder of their value within the community.

“They (my children) are very excited; they are joyous about it because just having an experience like this. This is our first time doing something like this and they’re like, ‘Oh, people do care about us.’ Yes, they do,” said Candace, a single mother and gift recipient.

This event brought joy to families and strengthened the bonds between the community and its leaders, demonstrating that during this season of giving, community support is alive and well.
