Police say the two groups got back into their separate cars and while driving east on Pine Tree Drive towards Cord Avenue, the passenger of second vehicle fired shots from a gun at the first vehicle.

Police say one of the bullets struck a passenger of the first vehicle in his shoulder. The Hispanic man — who is in his early-20′s — was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital. He is expected to recover.

Police are in contact with the driver of the first vehicle, who lives in Melbourne, but are still working to find the occupants of the second vehicle, including the shooter.
