Brevard County ‘toy shop’ provides free gifts on Christmas Eve

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A local Cocoa family is handing out presents for those in need ahead of Christmas Day in Brevard County.

According to their Facebook page, “Nana Nut’s Toy Shop” holds donated toys and goods from throughout the year for needy families who want a gift or two for the holidays.

“This is just an opportunity for families to come in and get Christmas (presents) for anybody in their family,” said “Nana Nut” herself, Mallory Hosmer. “It doesn’t matter what your story is. We all fall on hard times.”

Everything within the toy shop is free, and the family told News 6 that over 600 families have benefited from the project so far this year.

“We’re more than happy to help any family,” Hosmer added. “Even Hanukah starts Christmas Day, so we are absolutely here for those families, as well.”

Nana Nut’s Toy Shop accepts donations year-round.
