“Re-signing Marta was a key business priority for us during this offseason,” said Haley Carter, Orlando Pride VP of Sporting Operations and Sporting Director. “Her impact on our team, locker room, and community is evident through her incredible skill and exemplary leadership. We are thrilled to have secured her for the next two years.”

The 2024 season was one of Marta’s most successful with the Pride. She was a finalist for both NWSL Most Valuable Player and NWSL Midfielder of the Year, and was named to the 2024 NWSL Best XI First Team and the 2024 FIFPRO Women’s World XI. Marta scored 11 goals across all competitions, the most among NWSL midfielders, and played a crucial role in the Pride’s championship run.

Since joining the Pride in 2017, Marta has made 128 appearances, scored 42 goals, and provided 19 assists, leading the club in all-time statistics. Internationally, she is the only women’s player to be named FIFA World Player of the Year six times and holds the record for most career goals at the FIFA World Cup with 17 for Brazil.

Marta also became a three-time silver medalist in 2024 after helping Brazil reach the final in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, adding to her previous silver medals from the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics.
