POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 40-year-old Lake Hamilton man wanted in Orange County for “a half dozen arrest warrants,” including attempted murder, was arrested in Polk County, according to a news release.
Deputies said that Tamergine Howard had arrest warrants in Orange County for attempted murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a firearm, armed burglary with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and tampering with evidence.

According to the release, Howard was arrested on Friday around 9:30 a.m. by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Lake Hamilton.

Deputies said Howard “surrendered peacefully” and was taken to the Polk County jail.

He will be sent to Orange County on a later date, according to the release.
