Meet the eight puppies from Florida Little Dog Rescue out in St. Cloud, Fla. that will compete for the Lombarky Trophy and become the champs of the 21st Puppy Bowl.

These puppies were chosen to represent the Central Floria area on either Team Fluff or Team Ruff to bring awareness to all the other adoptable dogs in different areas.

  • Alice, a Chihuahua mix
  • Bodhi, an Aussie doodle
  • Jason and Travis, Pomeranian Brothers
  • Queenie, a corgi
  • Smoosh, a Pekingese
  • Pepper, a dachshund mix
  • Kiki, a Terrier mix

Smoosh will make history this year as the first Pekingese to compete in the bowl game.

These puppies have all been adopted already, but Florida Little Dog Rescue wants fans to know they “have many other amazing puppers just waiting for forever homes,” and can see all their adoptable dogs via their website.

Despite the name, Florida Little Dog Rescue takes in all kinds of dogs. It works through a network of volunteers, especially fosters, who take care of the dogs and prepare them for their forever homes.

FLDR founder Laurie Zander Johnson was a guest on Florida’s Fourth Estate in 2023, talking about the struggle to rescue dogs from breeders who no longer want to care for puppies they can’t sell. You can watch the episode below.
