ORLANDO, Fla. – Lunar New Year, or the Spring Festival, is commonly celebrated among Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and other East Asian cultures. This year celebrates the year of the snake.

Chinese New Year falls on Wednesday, Jan. 29, but the festival spans 15 days.

Lunar New Year Festival 2025

Celebrate the Vietnamese New Year with performances, singers, Vietnamese cuisine and exciting activities. Admission is free.

Dates:

  • Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: 4603 W Colonial Drive, Orlando, Central Florida Fair

Lunar New Year Pop-Up Market

Visit the newly opened The Burrow Cafe and Play with over 25 vendors to visit, food, a DJ, free kid-friendly crafting booths and more to celebrate the new year and Asian culture.

Date: Sunday, Jan. 26, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: 618 N Mills Ave., Orlando, The Burrow Cafe and Play

Lunar New Year celebration at The Courtesy Bar

Enjoy a specialty Lunar New Year cocktail menu, thematic décor, and food trucks. Reservations are encouraged for parties of 4-8.

Date: Jan. 29 to Feb. 2.

Chinese New Year Celebration at Orlando Public Library

Celebrate Chinese New Year with The Chinese School of Chinese American Association of Central Florida, Inc.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: 101 E. Central Blvd., Orange County Library System

3rd Annual Avalon SpringFest 2025 – Lunar New Year Festival

Celebrate Lunar New Year in Avalon Park. Watch lion and dragon dances, Japanese Taiko, folk dances, Kung-Fu demonstrations, and taste a variety of Asian cuisines.

Admission and parking are free; the event organizers recommend bringing a blanket for the outdoor event.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 15, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Location: Avalon Park Orlando

2025 Central Florida Dragon Parade

A parade in the Mills District featuring lion and dragon dances along with local organizations and sponsors.

A Lunar New Year Festival will be held in the Edoboy sushi parking lot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The market will be held at the end of the parade.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: Parade starts at Lake Highland Drive and North Mills Avenue and ends at 728 N. Thornton Ave Parking Lot.
