ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Science Center hosted the fourth annual “Science on Tap” beer festival for guests to support Central Florida Breweries while giving back to the science center.
The event had activities for all ages from beer tastings to exciting “Foamsplosions” to demonstrate the power of science.
Among the breweries stood Anonymous Brewery, a group of local brewers who create their beers in their garages.

Khrysti Hunsworth, a member of Anonymous Brewery was able to combine both the crafting of beers and science for guests to enjoy.
Hunsworth created a game in which guests could try and guess which the single hop is used for the bittering, flavor, and aroma.
“We’re giving people the chance to use their hop knowledge and science knowledge after this fest,” Hunsworth said.
The four choices included Amarillo, Centennial, Idaho 7, Simcoe.
“People have better palettes than they know. They know when they drink the beers there is something in there that they like. This card allows them to use their senses to decipher what that is,” Hunsworth said.
The Orlando Science Center uses the funds generated from the event to continue to make science accessible to everyone and anyone.
The event was from 1-4 p.m. and guests are encouraged to come back to the science center on Jan 26 at 12 p.m. for the opening of their new exhibit “Top Secret: License to Spy.”
If you missed the event and love a good brew, don’t worry, Orlando Beer Week has returned for its fifth year. The event kicked off Saturday and runs through Feb. 2.
