Sisley was arrested Nov. 29, 2022, allegedly admitting that he stabbed his sister and mother at their home near Kissimmee and telling investigators he “would do it again,” according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Sisley was apprehended several blocks away from the home, located near the intersection of Myrtle Oak Lane and Oak Hill Trail, just north of Champion’s Gate. Deputies responded there around 2:12 p.m. that day, reporting Sisley’s sister was seen leaving the home and saying, “He killed my mom!”

The sister was observed with blood all over her clothes and arms and deep cuts on her hands, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sisley allegedly told investigators that he stabbed his mother — identified as Nicole Gabrek — “because she never pushed me to be a man,” deputies said.

His sister told deputies that she had been woken up around 10:30 a.m. as Sisley was banging on the back sliding glass door of her home, an affidavit states, noting Sisley himself lived “a few houses down at their grandmother’s house.” Sisley allegedly told her that he hadn’t slept in days, prompting the sister to help him into the shower, make him a meal and encourage him to rest before she drove to AdventHealth Celebration hospital — where Sisley was the day before — in an unsuccessful attempt to retrieve his phone.

After returning home, the sister told investigators that she found Sisley up and about as she walked to her bedroom to call her boyfriend. Later, she said that she heard Gabrek screaming for her life in the kitchen as Sisley repeatedly stabbed her; the sister told investigators that she tried to get between them, suffering multiple cuts in the process. Sisley ran away when the sister called 911, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sisley on Wednesday was found competent to stand trial, court records show. He’s next scheduled to be in court on April 2 for a pre-trial hearing.
