ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando family is pleading for help after their home was allegedly ransacked by thieves who stole their oven, washing machine and several other major appliances.
Juliette Harrell, the mother, said that her home was pillaged while her family was away for a weekend to celebrate her son’s 10th birthday.
“What was supposed to be a special milestone for our son turned into a nightmare. Our sense of security has been shattered, and we are struggling to rebuild,” Harrell said in a statement. “The kindness of our community has kept us going, but we have a long road ahead. Any support — whether through donations, sharing our story, or providing leads — means the world to us.”
Orlando police confirmed to News 6 that they’re investigating the reported theft.

Harrell’s story was amplified by childcare group Families On The Go, LLC, which shared a news release stating the following things were taken from the home after burglars forced their way in by breaking a lock, shattering a window with a brick and cutting the power:
- Four white smoke detectors
- White Whirlpool washing machine

- Black Whirlpool oven
- Rheem 40-gallon water heater
- Goodman indoor air-conditioning unit
- Goodman outdoor air-conditioning unit
Additionally, the burglars reportedly left the water running while making off with the water heater, leading to significant water damage, the release states.
