Avery Monroe Rice, 13 (Satellite Beach Police Department)

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing out of Satellite Beach.

Avery Monroe Rice was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Atlantic Plaza along Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway (A1A), the Satellite Beach Police Department said in a news release.

Rice is described as 4 feet, 10 inches tall and 90 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and black and white shoes, the release states, adding she recently got braces.

Investigators said Friday they’d found no evidence to suggest foul play in Rice’s disappearance, stating it’s believed that she’s likely staying with friends.

Anyone who sees Rice or who has knowledge of her whereabouts is urged to contact Lt. Anthony Holland at 321-773-4400 (ext: 474) or Aholland@satellitebeach.gov.
