ORLANDO, Fla. – Each morning on “Breakfast With Bridgett” there are interesting stories and interviews, plus weather and traffic to help you plan the day.
On Tuesday morning, Bridgett talked to Harbor House CEO Michelle Sperzel about their big event this week.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes will celebrate its 12th annual walk this Thursday in downtown Orlando.

The event raises funds to support Harbor House and its life-saving, life-changing services for domestic violence survivors.
How? Men trade their shoes for women’s shoes and literally walk in them. The walk is meant to confront gender stereotypes, and is meant to be a statement on listening and learning what women go through, based on the old saying “You can’t understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.”
Harbor House is also currently collaborating with other entities to create a plan for a family justice center where survivors can find resources all in one location.
