ORLANDO, Fla. – A new study finds Orlando International Airport was the subject of more luggage-handling complaints than any other major U.S. airport over a period of 10 years.
From 2013 to 2023, 1.81 of every 100,000 passengers at MCO made a TSA property complaint, according to the study conducted by Upgraded Points.
Runners up include John F. Kennedy International Airport in the second spot with 1.72 complaints per 100,000 passengers, then Palm Beach International Airport with 1.71 complaints, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport with 1.69 complaints and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport with 1.68 complaints.
Orlando’s numbers are clocked at 63% more than the study’s national average, according to Upgraded Points, which theorized it may be due in part to a high volume of people packed for extended family trips at Florida’s attractions.
