ORLANDO, Fla. – Contests, challenges, food talks and more will head to downtown Orlando as part of the International Vegan Food Festival.
The event on Saturday will run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wall Street Plaza.

"Whether you’re a committed vegan or simply curious about plant-based cuisine, this festival promises to be a delicious and educational experience. Discover new flavors, learn about sustainable food practices, and connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for a cruelty-free lifestyle," event organizers said on their website.
Here’s the schedule of events for the festival:
- 3 p.m.: Opening remarks by host Orlando Bearded Vegan
- 3:30 p.m.: Acai eating contest
- 4 p.m.: Fitness chat
- 4:30 p.m.: Juice chug
- 5 p.m.: Pie eating contest
- 5:30 p.m.: Burger eating contest
- 6 p.m.: Ice cream eating contest
- 6:15 p.m.: Hula hoop contest
- 6:30 p.m.: Dance off
And of course, the highlight of the event is the variety of vegan foods to try. The event’s website said "from vegan burgers and pizzas to exotic salads and desserts, there’s something for everyone."
Some of the vendors include Krazy Vegan, HappyCow, Find Veg Love, Vegan Halal Cart and more.
