ORLANDO, Fla. – Valentine’s Day coincides with National Donor Day, a time to reflect and honor those who gave the gift of life, known as “Donor Heroes.”
Friday on Breakfast with Bridgett, Jayden Beyrooti shared the inspiration and impact his brother, Seth, made through his music and gifts of life.
In 2018, the brothers were involved in a fiery crash on SR-429 caused by a distracted driver.
One of the six lives Seth saved included a first responder whose lungs failed due to long-term damage caused by serving at Ground Zero after the WTC attacks of 2001.
“A man named Richard worked in emergency response in New York. He was a responder following the attacks on the World Trade Center. In 2001, he worked on site at Ground Zero to contain gas lines. Being on site at Ground Zero, there was a lot of debris in the air and it damaged his lungs. In 2018, he was in bad shape until he received the strong, healthy, 21 year-old lungs of Seth,” Beyrooti said.
Beyrooti said he hopes to inspire others to consider becoming donors through helping to sharing Seth’s impact with the world.
