MELBOURNE, Fla. – A person was found dead Friday in Melbourne, police have confirmed.
The individual — so far only described as a female — appears to have been living in a wooded area near the 1100 block of Palm Bay Road, a spokesperson for the police department told News 6 in a statement.
Detectives were still investigating the cause of death at the time of this report, the spokesperson said, adding no obvious signs of trauma or indications of foul play were observed.
