Orlando police seek public’s help identifying 2 seen leaving scene of deadly crash on Narcoossee Road

Lake Nona student killed, 2 others injured in crash

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Police Department is asking for the community for assistance in identifying two individuals who left the scene of a fiery two-vehicle crash on Wednesday that killed a Lake Nona student and injured two others.

The crash happened on Narcoossee Road at Nonacrest Drive, west of State Road 417. The Orlando Fire Department said both cars involved in the wreck caught fire and three people were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center as trauma alert patients.

The day after the crash, Orange County Public Schools confirmed that student Anthony Sanchez had died.

On Tuesday, Orlando posted to its social media channels that witnesses reported seeing two young males, possibly Black or Hispanic, leaving a Toyota Camry near the crash site. One of the individuals was wearing a black hoodie paired with red pants, while the other was dressed in a black hoodie and white pants.

The Orlando Police Department said that preliminary information indicated the two vehicles were being driven recklessly — weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed — before their drivers lost control, according to the statement.

Detectives are actively investigating the crash and urges anyone with information about the identities of these individuals to come forward. Tips can be provided directly to the department or anonymously through Crimeline.

The investigation remains ongoing.
