PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – The winner of Wednesday’s $1 million Powerball prize drew the winning ticket from a Publix grocery store in Florida, according to the Florida Lottery.
In a release, the Florida Lottery explained that the $1 million winnings were the second-tier prize. The winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 6 - 21 - 28 - 49 - 60 and red ball 20.

Per the release, the sole winning ticket was bought at a Publix store at 3253 Port St. Lucie Blvd.
According to Powerball’s website, the chances of winning the $1 million prize is roughly 1 in 11,688,053.52. But those odds are still 25 times better than the chances of winning the jackpot.

Meanwhile, the release shows that no one claimed the Powerball jackpot prize — an estimated $195 million — meaning that it will be rolled over into the next drawing, scheduled for Feb. 22. The jackpot prize for that drawing is expected to grow to around $215 million.
Drawings are held for the Powerball lottery every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
Lottery officials explain that the jackpot prize continues to grow until a winner is able to claim it by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball. Jackpot winners have the option between receiving their prize as a 29-year annuity or a lump-sum payment.
