A “fugitive of justice” from Texas wanted on murder and child sex charges was taken into custody after being found walking along Interstate 75 in Southwest Florida, according to the Florida HIghway Patrol.
Troopers said that on Thursday around 2:52 p.m., they encountered a man walking north on Interstate 75 – also known in the area as Alligator Alley – in Collier County.

According to the FHP, the man said his “name was Recardo, but immediately recanted, and provided the name “Angel Kelly Alejandro.”'

Troopers said they verified his identity as 27-year-old Angel Kelly Alejandro and when they ran a warrant check, it showed he was wanted in Texas on warrants for murder, child sex contact and possession with intent to promote child porn.

Alejandro arrested and taken to the Collier County Jail to await extradition back to Texas, according to the FHP.
