However, police said Walker and the mother, identified as 37-year-old Kimberley Mills, left when they learned law enforcement had been notified.

Mills returned to the hospital without Walker, but investigators said she refused to offer any info about several injuries the boy had that appeared to be consistent with physical abuse, including bruises, burn marks and other injuries in various stages of healing.

The boy was airlifted to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Miller was arrested and faces charges of aggravated child abuse.

Walker was wanted on a warrant for accessory after the fact to aggravated child abuse.

Police are expected to speak about the case during a news conference at 3 p.m. News 6 will stream that update in the video player above.
