TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A Titusville man who was accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the players on the high school girl’s soccer team he coached took a plea deal this week that will keep him out of prison.

Anthony Gonzales, who was a coach for the Titusville High School junior varsity girl’s soccer team, was arrested in 2023 on child sex battery charges.

On Thursday, Gonzales entered a no-contest plea to the court for four counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, as part of a plea agreement.

In return, Gonzales was sentenced to two years of community control, meaning he will be allowed to live at home and travel to a pre-arranged list of places but will have to wear an electronic monitor.

He will also serve a total of 18 years of supervised probation.

Gonzales was fired from his coaching position after he was arrested, Brevard Public Schools said.
