TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Titusville police are looking for answers after a 72-year-old woman was reported missing and her burned vehicle was later found, according to a news release.
Police said Jessie Kirk, 72, was reported missing around 9 a.m. on Tuesday by a friend from the 3200 block of South Washington Ave. when she did not show up for their morning walk together.

Several hours later, detectives said they noticed a suspicious man near the missing woman’s condo.
According to the release, 35-year-old David Barber was arrested for loitering and prowling. Barber had “significant recent burns on him,” detectives reported.
Around the same time, Kirk’s vehicle was located “burned up” near State Road 50 and State Road 520 in Orange County.
