TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A precautionary boil water notice was issued Tuesday for select addresses in Titusville following a water main break.
The notice impacts the following addresses, according to the city:
- 1730 through 1845 Bryn Mawr Drive
- 2900 through 3265 Westwood Drive
- 3100 and 3105 Barbara Lane
- 1750 Cowan Drive
About 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, a contractor working in the area hit and broke the water main which serves these residences, the city said in a news release.
The water main was shut down around 2:45 p.m., the release states, adding the break has since been repaired.

As a precaution, people at the aforementioned addresses are asked to bring water to a rolling boil of at least one minute and allow it to cool before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes, according to the city.
This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink. Notices will be issued to all residences when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been rescinded. This Notice is anticipated to be rescinded by Thursday, March 6, 2025. However, all water for consumption should continue to be boiled until rescinding notices are received.
