ORLANDO, Fla. – Dozens of the most rapidly aging cities in America are in Florida, making support for seniors a major community component.
Every year, March for Meals highlights the senior nutrition program, Meals on Wheels America.
In Orlando, there are hundreds of seniors receiving meals every week thanks to hundreds of staff and volunteers from Seniors First.
Seniors First President and CEO Marsha Lorenz says there’s always a need for more volunteers and donors to meet the growing demand for senior services in our area.
She says they’re excited about the recent addition of a new commercial size freezer and refrigerator, giving them the opportunity to provide more healthy and fresh food options to the seniors they serve.
