OVIEDO, Fla. – Two men have been indicted after the 2023 murder of an 18-year-old at the Mystic Cove Apartments near Oviedo, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Jhamiel Joseph, 20, and Tavarious Jiles, 21, face charges of first-degree felony murder and attempted robbery with a firearm, a spokesperson said.

The shooting happened in November 2023, where the victim, Isaiah Perez, was found dead outside an apartment just before midnight, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation showed the suspects parked off the apartment complex grounds and walked into the neighborhood where Perez lived with his mother, according to a news release from the SAO.

Witnesses said they heard gunshots just before midnight but did not see anything, the news release stated.
Perez’s mother ran outside after hearing the shots and found her son with multiple gunshot wounds, deputies said.
Deputies at the scene also found Perez’s car parked with the engine on and the driver’s side rear door open.
A third suspect in the case, 22-year-old Shaniah O’Neal, was charged separately and pleaded guilty to charges of accessory after the fact to a capital felony and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm, the state attorney’s office said.
Joseph and Jiles are being held without bond at the Seminole County jail, with arraignment hearings scheduled for April, the SAO announced.
