KISSIMMEE, Fla. – As Kissimmee continues transforming 150 acres of land into a park featuring bike trails, playgrounds, and pavilions, it has officially opened a petting farm.
This new addition is part of the Lancaster Ranch Park and is a familiar sight for many locals. Green Meadows Farm, a staple in Osceola County for 30 years, has made a comeback after several years. The farm, now located at Lancaster Ranch Park, offers a variety of agricultural activities for visitors of all ages.
From bottle-feeding lambs to feeding lettuce to pigs, the new Green Meadows Petting Farm is filled with opportunities to connect with animals.
“We have pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits. We have mules. We have ponies,” Owner Dan Keyes said.

The original petting farm opened in 1988 on Poinciana Boulevard but closed years ago when the property was sold for development.
“This farm has been seven years in the making,” Keyes said about the Landcaster Ranch location. “I mean, it’s surreal. It’s just hard to believe that this is happening.”

Mayor Jackie Espinosa said the relocation of the petting farm aligns with Kissimmee’s commitment to enhancing community spaces.
“I want to express our pride in delivering on the promise we made to this community. More green space, more family amenities, and more reasons to fall in love with Kissimmee,” she said.
With the barns officially open, Keyes invites families to visit.
“Have the kids play in the corn box. Go down our slides. Play in the tires. We have ten tractors like this for the kids to sit on. You can take a wagon ride. A lot of fun,” he said.
