2 arrested after woman shot to death in Orange County while asleep with her children

Porshe Streeter, 30, shot multiple times in 2024

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County investigators have announced the arrest of two men accused in the fatal 2024 shooting of a woman who was sleeping in a bed with her three children.

Saun Rainge Jr., 32, and Benjamin Garmon, 26, each face a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Porshe Streeter, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday in a news release.

Deputies responded around 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2024, to the 7300 block of Woodhill Park Drive, where they located Streeter and Rainge shot. Streeter was pronounced dead at the scene while Rainge was taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said, adding none of the children were harmed in the shooting.

Rainge, the children’s father, is now accused of enlisting Garmon, whom the sheriff’s office described as Rainge’s friend. Through “good, old fashioned detective work‚” investigators say they determined Rainge and Garmon cased Streeter’s apartment complex before the killing.

Waiting some hours after the shooting, Rainge then arranged for Garmon to shoot him one time in the arm in order to support his “home invasion story,” at which point Rainge called law enforcement, the sheriff’s office said.

Rainge’s story didn’t right true for our homicide detectives, who have worked tirelessly on this case for more than a year to secure justice for Porshe.
