Person critically injured after being shot inside of vehicle in Leesburg, police say

Shooting happened in the 2300 block of Sennett Drive

LEESBURG, Fla. – One person was critically injured after being found shot inside of a vehicle in Leesburg on Saturday afternoon, according to a news release.

Police said they responded to the incident in the 2300 block of Sennett Drive around 5 p.m.

According to the release, officers found one victim who had been shot in the vehicle and a passenger who “also sustained injuries.” Police did not specify what kind of injuries the second person suffered.

The shooting victim was listed in critical condition.

“Several vehicles have been seized in connection with the case, and there are persons of interest,” police said in a release.
