Florida woman runs over another woman after seeing her with estranged husband, deputies say

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida woman on probation struck another woman with her vehicle and ran her over after seeing the victim walking with her estranged husband, according to sheriff’s officials.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and her boyfriend were walking across Old Dixie Highway in Auburndale on Thursday when they spotted 41-year-old Christdon Reese driving past them in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Deputies said the boyfriend is Reese’s estranged husband.

Reese turned around in a nearby parking lot, speeding back toward the couple, according to the sheriff’s office.

“The victim began to run down a driveway and Reese pursued her, striking her with her car. Reese then turned around in the driveway and fled north on Old Dixie Highway at a high rate of speed,” a release said.

The sheriff’s office said the woman was taken to a hospital with two spinal fractures, but she is expected to recover.

Reese was arrested on Friday and faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, trespassing and violation of probation.
