1 injured, cat rescued in Casselberry house fire

Crews respond to Laura Street

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – One person was injured and a cat was rescued from a house fire on Friday in Casselberry.

A fire broke out around 3 p.m. on Laura Street.

According to the Seminole County Fire Department, the fire started on the side of the home, extended to the garage, and was 50% involved.

One person suffered a minor burn injury and one cat was saved with a pet oxygen mask.

The Longwood Fire Department assisted in the fire.

No other injuries were reported.
